A recent update to ChatGPT hints at long-term memory capabilities, meaning tools could soon recall your food preferences and restrictions to tailor recommendations.

Recipes are becoming part of AI ecosystems. If your content isn’t structured, it’s invisible. Think about how your metadata helps tools remember, adapt, and recommend your content.
ChatGPT memory now available to free users
On June 3, OpenAI began rolling out a lightweight version of its ChatGPT memory feature to free-tier users.
Why it matters:
ChatGPT can now “remember” your cooking preferences over time, meaning structured ingredients, dietary tags, and recipe formats could help personalize AI recipe suggestions. That makes your metadata even more valuable.ChatGPT memory now available to free users.
Google ends its Recipe Quick View pilot
On July 1, Google quietly shut down Recipe Quick View, which previously displayed full recipe snapshots directly in search results — a move widely applauded by food creators worried about traffic loss
Why it matters:
For now, clicks still land on your site, which means SEO and smart structured data are still the best way to maintain visibility and retain readers.
